this wedding was dear to my heart as i have known these lovely people for quite some time and was really looking forward to being there to photograph this day. i am so happy for my friends ben and emily... both stunning, curiously talented, beaming with laughter, abound with style and totally in love. ben is a fabulous photographer and writer, emily is a gifted visual artist and designer... naturally she was a work of art herself on this day, as was ben in his pin strip suit and fancy shoes. we spent the evening on the deck of a water front home on hornby island, eating brilliant food, drinking in a delicious sunset and meeting their families and friends.. it was a perfect night for a truly perfect wedding day. congratulations.. with love.
a really sweet ceremony that would leave all present touched. followed by some fun evening portraits. i loved betsy's ring... amazing taste. truly kind people who make for wonderful company. cheers to their elopement~ blessings abound.
here a look at this fairy tale wedding at the aerie resort... arent these two stunning? its funny because when melissa and i first spoke she was joking about the idea of having photo doubles for both her and peter, as they equally dislike being in front of a camera.. but as it would turn out... they are extremely photogenic and now have a stunning collection of images to look forward to! i am so glad they decided to bring me along. congratulations!
such vibrant love between these two, their friends and family. we met before the ceremony to create many of these images which really eased any nerves and allowed us to frolic on the windy beach and gardens of the sooke harbour house. alannah's dress was made special for her.. and you can certainly tell by how stunning she looks in it, fit like a glove. alannah has a fabulous trust in people and their craft which shines through her eyes when she speaks with you and michael has a wonderful creative side to his mind and it shows through his curiosity... which made being part of this wedding an inspiration. it was clear to me by the end of the night that their lives would be forever enhanced by their union.
