megan & james. happily ever after...

a very special wedding for us as megan & now james are family~ it was an absolute honour to be part of this day. and i have to say the way we were welcomed and treated touched my heart forever. megan is my father in law, simons wonderful wife nancys daughter... it might sound like a distant connection to many and i may have agreed until a few weeks ago. but i honestly felt like a sister to her. so thank you for that meg...and james. for making things feel different for the rest of time. now back to them and the day they planned... AMAZING! it was one of the busiest weekends in pentiction all summer so there were people and festivities everywhere~ making it really exciting from the moment the day started... full of hustle and bustle and really really hot! they had a very meaningful ceremony led by james father jack, which made it really personal and at times even funny~ after that we headed to naramata for the portraits... i fell in love with that little town. eveyone in the their wedding party was a true star... hanging in there and playing along. finally it was time for the party to begin... back to the other side of the lake and up the hill to the golf course which they turned into a colourful feast for the eyes.. i loved the way they decorated the room adding such a fun feeling to the night. there we were fed an impressive meal by an impressive serving team. the night was followed by numerous touching speeches and then we kicked off some dancing. one of the neatest things i have seen at a wedding was when the take out truck pulled up to serve up late night poutine.. how cool is that? then came the icing on the cake... megan singing a few numbers with the band. a talented and beautiful bride was she. congratulations you two... i loved being there with you and wish you a lifetime of blissed out days like the one that will go down in history as your wedding day. xos
